About Me

Chrystal Bethell reflects the true essence of an ‘Island Girl’, being born and raised in Nassau, The Bahamas. It became a fascination of hers to be a part of local fashion shows, church and school plays, not knowing then that these activities would become an ongoing part of her life and passion.

Although, Chrystal was encouraged to pursue a business degree or in other words a more serious degree than Theatre or Acting, she ended up studying Psychology and taking various theatre class electives. After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Columbus State University and returning to The Bahamas, Chrystal competed in The Miss Bahamas World Pageant and was successful in winning the titles; Top Model of The Bahamas and Miss Bahamas Beauty of The World. She also won Miss Photogenic and The Lady of Elegance awards. These titles provided the opportunity for her to represent the Miss Bahamas Organization to compete in international pageants in Germany and China.

After Chrystal was done with her reign and settled into the ‘normal’ workforce in The Bahamas, she realized that there was more to accomplish. She made the decision to dive into the craft of acting and this lead her to The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, in New York, USA, where she obtained a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting. As a testimony for her drive and passion in the field, even before graduating, she booked her very first New York gig with ‘TV Land’, where she was a model for a series of television shows called ‘Best Night In’. Since graduating, Chrystal has performed on stages throughout the United States of America and can be seen on various national commercials, print campaigns and most recently she is featured in an advertisement for an upcoming edition of ‘O - The Oprah Magazine’.

In Chrystal’s spare time she enjoys being with nature, journaling, writing, dining, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her passion to make people think, laugh, imagine and feel compassion are the main reasons she pursues this craft and knows that it is a part of her purpose to continue on this journey. She acknowledges that God has blessed her with the opportunity and fortitude to succeed.
